Dr Arif Erkol - in 2002 he graduated from Bogazici University, with a BA in Science Education, and in 2008 he received an MPA in Public Administration from Clark University. In 2018, he received his doctorate in the field of internationalization of higher education from University of Economics in Poznań. In 2009-2016, he was the Chancellor of the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business (AFiBV). His duties included: strategic development of the Vistula group of universities, human resource management, cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting, investment valuation and procedures related to the analysis of short and long-term financial planning. Mr. Erkol's significant professional achievements include AFiBV’s spectacular leap in higher education rankings in Poland, joining the group of leading universities among private universities in Poland. Currently, AFiBV is one of the most international universities in Poland. As a result of 7 years of his work for Vistula University, the university significantly increased recruitment of new students, especially foreign students. In 2013, AFiBV was ranked 6th in the rankings of the "Prespektywy" magazine and the "Rzeczpospolita" daily for the best private universities, rising from 56th place. From 2010 until now, he has supervised the process of preparing many applications for EU subsidies and grants for a total amount of PLN 20 million, including: • Project Manager of the project "Greater potential - Greater opportunities in the labor market" (11.2010-09.2011); • Chairman of the team responsible for the financial management system module "Quality Book" (11.2012-10.2014); • Coordinator of the project "Vistula Language Education Academy" (11.2014-06.2015); And also held the following functions: • Member of the Digipay4Growth Project Team (2014-2015); • Member of the EAIE-European Association for International Education, Business Center Club (2010-2012) and the Club of the Ambassador of the Vistula University Group (2011 - until now). Mr. Erkol was also a participant and lecturer at many international conferences, including: • 2015 EFMD Annual Conference, Brussels, (7-9 June 2015); • Intellectual Capital in Education, Warsaw (4-6 December 2015); • International conference of the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission, under the slogan "Leadership, Education, Innovation", Warsaw (May 15-16, 2014); • ‘Foreign Students in Poland’’ 2014, Poznań (17-18 January 2014); • EAIE 25th Annual Conference, Istanbul (10-13 September 2013); • International Congress on Trends in Higher Education, Istanbul (May 31- June 3, 2013); • ‘Foreign students in Poland’’ 2013, Warsaw (17-18 January 2013). in 2010 and 2011 Arif Erkol received the European Medal awarded by the Business Center Club and the title of "Leader University" awarded by the European Commission and the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE). Mr. Erkol's non-professional interests revolve around the subject of international relations. In his spare time, he plays chess and reads fantasy literature. He is married and has three children.

Edyta graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw and did post-graduate studies in the field of Structural Funds of the European Union. Currently she is a postgraduate student in audit and internal control. Edyta previously worked for the Ministry of National Education as a senior specialist in acquiring and accounting for projects co-financed by European Union sources. She has over 10 years of professional experience related to the development and implementation of projects financed from European Union sources. She has implemented dozens of projects with a total value of over PLN 500 million. She is currently in charge of applications for co-financing as part of the Regional Operational Programs and is an external expert of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, Center of European Projects and Centrum Projektów Polska Cyfrowa. Additionally, she is a long-term trainer and consultant in the field of fundraising, including projects of the Ministry of Development. She is the Co-author of the publication titled "European Social Fund for Education". In the years 2007-2016 She was the Coordinator of innovative and transnational projects on behalf of the Ministry of National Education. She has experience in working with educational institutions, municipalities, labor market institutions, social welfare centers, entrepreneurs and individual clients. In addition, for many years, she is an expert / assessor with certification of the Ministry of Development in the field of evaluation of EU projects, in topics such as: "Employment and the labor market", "Public aid", "Principles of partnership projects implementation", "Accessibility of projects for people with disabilities", "Project eligibility". Her interests have always focused on EU funds, therefore she became a trainer and advisor in this field. As a trainer and mentor, she works in the field of project management, preparing applications for co-financing, risk management, project management methodologies, public aid, interpersonal skills, human resource management and project settlements. Since 2009, She is the President of the Motorcycle Association and organizer of many charity events.

Dariusz DĄBEK

Project Expert / Assessor

Former Deputy President of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, lawyer, advocate trainee, experienced specialist in acquiring and accounting for projects co-financed from European Union sources (several dozen projects worth over PLN 150 million), winner of the Eurolider 2009 Competition of the Ministry of Regional Development. Mr. Dariusz Dąbek is a graduate of master's studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź and a European law study conducted by the European Law Foundation in Warsaw under the scientific patronage of the University of International Relations in Łódź. He was a TEMPUS scholar at the Maastricht University, Netherlands. He has over 18 years of professional experience, more than 8 years of which was in the development and implementation of projects financed by European Union sources. He successfully completed dozens of projects with a total value of over PLN 150 million. He also has a Prince 2 project management certificate at the Practitioner level and a trainer in the field of European Union structural funds. In 2014, he completed postgraduate studies in administration of EU funds at the Warsaw School of Economics. From November 2013 to March 2016, he was the Deputy President of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development in Warsaw, supervising and implementing projects in the field of development of the Polish space sector, human resources and adaptability of Polish enterprises' staff and the promotion of the Polish economy in connection with the World Exhibition EXPO 2015 in Milan . In 2009 he was awarded the title of Euroleader in the competition of the Ministry of Regional Development. He is currently serving as a patent attorney at the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.


Project Portfolio Manager

Dominika has 10 years of experience in the implementation of EU projects’ financial aspects, in the field of both investment projects and research & development projects. she supervised the implementation of over 450 grant agreements She has done a variety of tasks starting from evaluating the grant application to the final project settlement, the sustainability verification process, and the recovery of funds incorrectly spent by beneficiaries. Ms Bartoszewicz also has experience in the settlement of projects on the beneficiary's side, including the preparation of payment applications, the implementation of public procurement and participation in procedures related to project control by institutions supervising the implementation process.


Project Coordinator

Jakub has been involved in the implementation of projects financed by external funds (European Union, Norwegian Financial Mechanism, European Economic Area Financial Mechanism) since 2007. He has extensive experience in preparing, coordinating and implementing applications and feasibility studies for local government units, government administration units and entrepreneurs. For almost 8 years, he was an employee of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, where he was involved in the implementation of projects aimed at providing entrepreneurs with access to advisory services (including in the field of energy efficiency or optimization of business costs). At the time, his specialization was pro-innovative services. He took an active part in the preparation (substantive and administrative) and launch of the training and consulting programentitled ‘Innovation Manager Academy’ (AMI). Currently, he coordinates projects at one of the best universities in Poland, the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business. Jakub is a graduate of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw, where he graduated from two faculties: socio-economic geography and spatial management. He also completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of leadership in innovation. Additionally, Jakub is interested in the socio-economic development of local government units. It resulted in the fact that he is a co-author of the development strategies of such cities as Radom, Ostrołęka and Warsaw ( Warszawa2030). He also participated in the elections to the Praga-Północ District Council as a non-party candidate.

Dagmara is an international certified Project Manager with above 15 years experience in project management. Economist and graduate of the University of Economy in Cracow. She specialized in investment, implementation, and especially education projects co-financed from UE and government budget – all of which passed the inspection of the supervisory authorities. Training and consulting projects for 2000 institutions and 10 000 participants, and 950 events like training courses, conferences, national and international study visits. Took part in international projects with Switzerland, Ukraine, Serbia, Germany, USA, and Italy. Cooperated with business, administration and NGOs. Fascinated by design thinking, actively engaged in finding unusual, innovative ideas. At Avista, responsible for education development. She coordinates national and UE tenders, searches for trainers and experts, designs educational offers.



Chris is a serial-entrepreneur. He founded successful companies such as Lerni.us, Funmedia ltd. and Escola Ltd., worth millions of zlotys. Dr Wojewodzic's specializations relate to strategic management, with an emphasis on breakthrough technologies and business models. Dr Wojewodzic is also an expert at the National Center for Research and Development and an international speaker on mobile learning. At Avista, he is responsible for the development of new business technologies (mobile, ICT, e-learning).
