The aim of completing education in the field of Graphics is to develop skills which allow the student to make confident decisions on the use of artistic techniques based on in-depth knowledge.
The study curriculum will enable you to acquire knowledge in the scope of:
- creating graphic works,
- graphic design,
- artistic composition,
- graphic technology and technique,
- computer programs for creating vector and raster graphics,
- preparation of graphic designs for print,
- presentation and exhibition of graphic works and designs.
Professional training and open air painting
Professional training and open air painting are an integral part of the obligatory curriculum. Open air painting is realized in the scope provided for in the plan of study and the student must obtain credit to complete it.
In accordance with the approved course of study, each student of both the full-time and part-time mode, will participate in:
- A total of two weeks of open-air painting,
- A total of at least two weeks of diploma practice,
and more than 70% of all classes take the form of practical classes.
Methods and techniques of distance learning
The study plan envisages a possibility of conducting classes using the methods and techniques of distance learning (e-learning) in the number of approximately 9% of the total number of class hours. The e-learning classes have only informational and auxiliary character in the implementation of the intended learning outcomes.
Graduates of graphics acquire knowledge from several disciplines and develop the skills of its practical use (field practice, professional training). They also gain a very good command of foreign languages (including professional terminology in foreign languages). Due to experience gained through participation in programs implemented in cooperation with employers, the graduates should not have problems finding a job, either in Poland or in other European countries.
Job prospects
The graduate of graphics will be prepared to perform independently artistic and designer work, he can also work in:
- publishing houses,
- TV,
- graphic agencies,
- art galleries,
- exhibition institutions,
- cultural and educational institutions,
- advertising agencies.
